Calling customs officers to Temple Trees is a violation of election regulations - ACCSU

All Ceylon Customs Service Union states entertaining customs officers at Temple trees as a part of Mr. Mahinda Rajapakse’s election campaign is an attempt to use state employees in election work.


 


 
All directors of customs, deputy directors and customs officers have been directed by the Director General of Customs Mr. Jayathilaka by his letter No.AB/S/1/SP to be present at Temple Trees. The letter printed on the letter head of the customs inform the officers to participate at the propaganda meeting of the president and states transport facilities would be provided.  
All Ceylon Customs Service Union has protested against the use of state employees and public resources in the election campaign of Mr. Rajapakse.
