Govt.’s ruthless vendetta campaign against General unrelenting – house searched by men without a court order

The Govt.’s vindictive campaign is so vicious against Gen. Fonseka once hailed by the Govt. itself as the greatest Army Commander and savior of the country from the LTTE , that even the house where he recently stayed and celebrated his Birthday at his home town Ambalangoda was raided by a special Police team yesterday (22) .

The owner of the house who is a close associate of the General has lodged a complaint with the Ambalangoda Police yesterday morning (22) that about 21 people allegedly from the special task force and at the behest of the Defense Ministry had done this search of the house. They have not even had a court order . The house owner had lodged the complaint seeking guarantee for his future safety .

The DIG , STF Sarathchandra when contacted over the incident has denied any knowledge of it , in characteristic style.

It is interesting to recall when Gen. Fonseka was looking for a house on rent some weeks ago after he was asked to quit the official residence by the Govt . , the owners of the houses who agreed to rent out the house to him were threatened by unidentified groups against renting the house to Gen. Fonseka.

Is this the treatment meted out to a true patriot and war Hero who saved the country and the people including  those self proclaimed ‘patriots’ who are now on a witch hunt against that true patriot.?
